LessEntropy is a tool that can index your removable media and let you search this index to easily find files.
LessEntropy provides a powerfull search engine supporting regular expressions, wildcards, filters and a special search language similar to XPath. Search results are displayed using overlay icons that are populated to parent directories providing a quick overview of matching files.
Starting with the 2.x version LessEntropy also provides a plugin interface that allows a programmer to extend the capabilities and enable LessEntropy to store additional information in the index database.
